Whispers to Wings is a supportive space for women who have experienced childhood sexual abuse. We are dedicated to breaking the silence, shedding light on the long-term impact of abuse, and creating a path toward healing and self-discovery.

The effects of childhood trauma can quietly shape every part of our lives—our self-worth, our relationships, our dreams. But we believe that when stories are shared, shame loses its grip, and transformation becomes possible.

From whispers of pain to the wings of freedom, this is a place to begin again.

Healing Through Connection

Childhood sexual abuse (CSA) often leaves survivors buried in silence, feeling isolated, ashamed, and undeserving. For many of us, the abuse didn't just harm our bodies, it distorted our sense of self and stunted our potential.

For 46 years, I lived in that silence. I believed I was alone with my story, trapped in guilt and shame that never belonged to me. Then a friend shared their own story of CSA and for the first time, I felt seen. That moment gave me the courage to begin my own healing journey, supported by a compassionate therapist who helped me untangle the pain I had carried for decades.

As I shed that weight, something unexpected happened: my true self began to emerge. I call this transformation my butterfly moment? I went from being a victim to a survivor, moving from shadows to light.

Our Mission and Vision

Whispers to Wings was created to raise awareness of the challenges survivors of childhood sexual abuse face as adults. Our mission is to provide information and resources that support healing, and to foster a compassionate community where women can connect and grow together.

What We Offer

We provide an online forum, The Chrysalis, where women who have experienced childhood sexual abuse can connect with one another in a safe and supportive environment.

This space is peer-led and gently moderated. There is no pressure to share, no timeline for growth, and no expectations beyond kindness, respect, and safety.

In addition, you’ll find links to useful resources and carefully created blog posts designed to support and guide you on your healing journey.

Whispers to Wings offers women:

This space is not therapy. It’s not a substitute for professional help. But it is a place where survivors can begin to reclaim their voice, release their shame, and maybe—even softly—take flight.
